O mundo tem mudado radicalmente nas últimas décadas. O aparecimento e rápido desenvolvimento de diversas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs) tem transformado a forma de pensar das comunidades e a maneira com que se relacionam entre si. O reconhecimento da potencial contribuição das TICs para a melhoria do bem-estar e da saúde da população é ilimitado. A igualdade de gênero é uma questão relevante quando relacionamos TICs com atendimento à saúde.
